East Grinstead Under 9's

EGRFC U9s
Welcome to East Grinstead RFC U9 Squad. These few notes give you an introduction to the club and hopefully tell you what you need to know. If you have any questions, please email juniors@egrfc.com.

We play and train at the rugby club grounds on Saint Hill Road in East Grinstead each Sunday mornings from 10am-12pm, players split into age groups with at least one head coach & one assistant running each group. Matches also tend to be on a Sunday and are normally scheduled every 3 or 4 weeks. The format of play follows the Age Grade rugby format as prescribed by the RFU. The Junior season runs from 1st weekend in September through to last weekend in May. We only break for Christmas and Easter Bank holidays. All our coaches and volunteers are DBS checked and are required to go through a Rugby Ready course. We welcome any parental help and will put volunteers through such courses as required.

If you are interested in trying it out, please email – juniors@egrfc.com, or just simply turn up on a Sunday morning. One of the coaches will ensure you are placed within the correct age group. The only gear required are boots, water, a gum shield if playing u9 and up and something warm to put on after training when you are cold and wet.

There are drinks and snack served from the bar upstairs in the clubhouse.

Above all we aim to promote rugby’s core values:
Discipline
Respect
Team work
Building self-confidence
but most importantly to HAVE FUN

Please give us a try – you won’t regret it
