Welcome to EGRFC U11's

Under 11’s is for all children age 10 (school year 6 in September) and we welcome all new players throughout the season.

We embrace the ‘rugby for all’ ethos at this club which means we will look for players to play in a variety of tournaments and festivals throughout the season.

If you would like to come along, please ensure that your child has studded boots, mouth guard, a drink and suitable clothing for the weather.

In the interests of safety and appropriate behaviour, we would remind parents that they (or another nominated adult) are required to remain at the club during the training sessions/matches although this can be done in the comfort of our clubhouse with a hot drink and a bacon roll.

As a club we promote skills development and teamwork and try to instil a sense of working hard in all our players whilst teaching the basics of contact rugby.

We work closely with the players and coaches of both the Senior and Junior teams - it’s all part of our one club ethos.

Clothing - Rugby boots should be worn with kite marked studs. Please bring alternative footwear for players to wear after training, particularly as studs are not allowed in the clubhouse. Gum Shields are also a requirement for contact rugby, it suggested you start with a cheap mouth guard as the children do like to chew them, these are readily available at major sports stores.

Rugby is an all-weather sport and we will train throughout the winter, therefore we recommend ‘skins’ on colder days to provide an extra layer of warmth, along with weatherproof training tops. A woolly hat is a useful addition as is a nice warm layer to put on after training!
