Despite the adverse conditions and the presence of a last minute stand-in referee, East Grinstead showcased superior adaptability and resilience.
The match saw standout performances from Colm Geraghty and Will Roberts, each crossing the try line twice, contributing significantly to the scoreboard. A highlight of the game was an impressive two-man dump tackle executed by Oscar Staples and ldris Lawal, exemplifying the team's defensive prowess. Ben Green's exceptional kicking accuracy and a well-earned try ot only added to the team's tally but also secured him the Man of the Match honour. Sadly we lost Ollie Johnston at half-time with a serious shoulder injury.
