On 3rd October, East Grinstead 1’s played Shoreham 1s and came away with a great 83-0 win.

Having overcome the disappointment of having to match Shorehams 13 starting players, G’s started strongly and put the oppo under pressure from the start, with our attack being really effective and us making the most of our chances, our attack was clinical with G’s having a 76% efficiency rate and an average of 4.9 points per entry (Thanks to stat man Sam for this!!). The forwards also had a great moment with a really good set-piece try, showing how well they executed the move and finished the opportunity as if they were on the training paddock.

G’s kept the intensity up in the second half and continued to score while working hard in defence to keep a clean sheet. Overall, it was a really positive team performance, with strong attacking rugby, good set-piece work and a solid defensive effort. Final score: East Grinstead 83-0 Shoreham.

Scorers were Luke, Owen and Jake with two trys each and Ted, Will L (Author), Noah and Ben also making the scoresheet. Special mention to Will R who broke the scoreboard with another hat trick, his second tri try in as many matches. Six in two games is not bad going!!

Despite his yellow card, Guy was voted MotM for a powerful game in attach and defence!
