In extremely windy conditions, East Grinstead battled through a tough first half before finding their rhythm and securing a strong 27–10 win over Seaford.
It took the team a while to get going, but once things clicked we played some really good rugby with strong running, solid defence and great teamwork across the park. The 5 point performance showed real progress and promising signs for the season ahead.
Try scorers were Ted, Will, Noah and Ail, with Noah managing to injure himself in the process of scoring. A disallowed try caused some frustration for Sam, and the refereeing decisions didn’t help, but the boys stayed focused and kept control of the game.
The forwards put in a huge shift with some big tackles and great set-piece work, while Aaron put in a brilliant performance to earn Man of the Match and even managed to avoid a yellow card.
