It gives us huge pleasure to announce Ryan Morlen as Director of Rugby at East Grinstead RFC for the 2022/23 season. After a quite remarkable campaign as Head Coach for our senior men, it was obvious to all that we had a coach of not only great technical maturity, but a real leader in all aspects of player and club development. We are delighted that Ryan has agreed to take this next step with us and are all looking forward to another exciting season ahead.

Ryan says:
"Being asked to be Director of Rugby at East Grinstead RFC is a huge honour. I have loved every minute of my time at this amazing club. Being Head Coach last season was a brilliant learning curve. Working with such an amazing group of guys, along with a very successful first season both on and off the pitch, has left me feeling extremely proud. I can’t wait to go one step further in the development of the EGRFC family.

I feel privileged and honoured to be moving into such an important role and I'll be putting my all into making sure as many teams, coaches, players and parents are happy with the way that I shape the style and behaviours within our club, this includes U6's all the way through to our seniors, male and female.

The support I have around me is the main reason for taking on this role. I know it will be a challenge, but a challenge when you have your family around you makes it easier. I know I'll have the full support of everyone at the club, as I have had from day one.

This is just the start of our journey as a club, and my journey as senior Head Coach and DOR. I'm very approachable, and happy for you to either drop me an email, or give me a call. Let's work together to keep this club the best in Sussex."
