Recently we have found that many aspects of our membership database are incorrect, out of date or just no longer valid. This is making managing our membership and communicating with you, our rugby family, very hard to do well.

To correct this we have tried various options, but as a board, have decided that the only way to do this properly is to start again afresh by wiping the database clean and asking ALL members to re-join by purchasing a 2023/24 membership. We will undertake a full backup before any actions are taken.

The new membership categories are already available on the website and can be purchased immediately. Please follow this link to purchase your membership: EGRFC membership

We would ask you to use this link, rather than using the ‘JOIN’ button on the website as it is a far easier process for both you and the club. Alternatively, follow the ‘Membership, subs & supporters’ tab in the top menu of the East Grinstead RFC website. https://www.egrfc.com

Please note, if paying monthly, no funds will be taken until mid-September. Remember, you need to be a member to play, vote and enjoy the many other privileges that the club offers. This season you will not be able to purchase memberships over the bar.

Please purchase your new membership pack ASAP and also make sure that current banking debit are stopped in accordance with your plan.

In conjuction with this, we are undertaking the same process with our mailing list. Many of our members who have unsubscribed in the past, now want to read the weekly ‘Rugby Round Up’ newsletter and the club’s other important press releases. It is proving difficult to re-subscribe, so again, we will be starting again by sending you a Mailchimp email simply asking you to opt in, or out. We urge you to join us so we can keep you informed of all the important club news and information. We keep our emails to a minimum, so please don’t fear you will be inundated with unnecessary communication.

We have also noticed that many members are not receiving our emails because of errors in their addresses or they are no longer using the email address we hold. So please make sure your information is correct and up to date.
