Now the real rugby begins

Training - Sunday 20th October - Brambletye School
Training will take place on the All Weather Pitch @ Brambletye from 11am - 1pm

Please ensure you bring trainers as well as boots.

Friendly - Sunday 13th October vs Battersea Ironsides
A great performance from our boys against an experienced Battersea Ironsides Team. Racing into a 15-0 lead in the first 10 minutes. In a keenly fought contest, EGRFC prevailed to win 15-10.

Well done to all the team.

Friendly - Sunday 6th October vs Worthing B's
Well done to all of team who took on a strong Worthing B team. this was the first game of the season for most of the team. The boys started off well camped in Worthing half in the first 5 mins, but could not make the break through score.

The team was underweight up front and strong pressure from Worthing meant at half time, 0-30 down, it looked like a significant uphill struggle. But the addition of some strong forwards at half time, resulted in some excellent play by EGRFC, to score 20 unanswered points in the second half.

Some excellent performances across the team.

Friendly Home to Crawley - 27th October
This fixture falls around half term and some of you maybe taking the opportunity to get away. So please can you ensure your availability is up to date, so I know who is available for selection.

We are aiming to run a normal training session for all of the squad from 10am

Training on Match Days and Squad Rotation.
As we currently only have 24 boys on the books, we currently cannot field 2 teams. As a normal match squad will contain a squad of 16 that will leave up to 8 boys behind on a match day.

Depending on coaches availability and numbers we will always try to run a session for the boys not in the playing squad, but this cannot be guaranteed.

As a result of the numbers we will rotate the squad through the schedule as much as possible and ensure everyone gets the same amount of game time as possible.

With 3 games on the bounce in November ( 2 league and 1 friendly ) we will seek to maximise everyone's game time, but also ensure we have a competitive team.

As always, any questions, please reach out to the coaches.

Tour 2020
Based on conversations with a number of parents it seems the favoured option is a Premier League Coaching Clinic, followed by a game, overnight stay and a game with a local team on the Sunday.
