A former senior player at East Grinstead RFC, William Giesler and his friend David Fox Pitt are currently camped up between Poland and Ukraine where they are ready and waiting to receive the thousands of refugees fleeing the brutal conflict in Ukraine.

Families with small children, elderly relatives and those needing medical attention are all in desperate need of a hot meal, some warmth and safe refuge. All of which William and David's team are providing.

East Grinstead RFC have received images and a film, sent by William from the border and we would like to share these with our members and our community.

William and the team are looking for donations which will go directly to buying supplies to keep this operation going for as long as it is needed. All of the labour is voluntary, William and the team are sleeping in the vehicles they drove to Poland allowing 100% of your generosity to be used to support and care for those in need.

As a community club, East Grinstead has an opportunity to make a real and tangible difference to the lives of those affected by this tragic war.
