Russell ‘Rusty’ Earnshaw – 8 October 2019

The Magic Academy is coming to East Grinstead RFC

Former England Performance Coach, Russell Earnshaw, will be coming to East Grinstead RFC on Tuesday 8 October 2019, 7pm-9pm.

Rusty is a Level 4 coach and mentor exploring new and innovative game-based coaching methods. He has worked with England 7’s, U18’s and U20’s and previously played rugby for Bath and England 7’s.

In recent times, he has been a Coach Developer and Educator with the RFU, Rusty has helped to formulate the current England coaching pathway and now works with organisations including GB Hockey, the FA and Snowsport UK on Coach Development. As the co-founder of the ‘Magic Academy’, Rusty and John Fletcher (Newcastle Falcons and England Rugby) are at the forefront of efforts to improve minis and youth coaching.

We are excited to welcome Rusty to the club and would like to thank Matt Ratana for enabling us to extend the invitation to all coaches, we would particularly like to encourage coaches from our Junior and Intermediate teams to attend this unique education evening.

The evening will start with a presentation at 7.00pm, please be prompt(!) and then out onto the pitch to watch Rusty coach two EGRFC Junior and Intermediate squads (those players who have been invited to take part – please arrive at 6.30pm).

This is a FREE event – the bar will be open.
