With Heathfield having trouble getting a competitive side together this week, we agreed to mix all the players up and play a friendly, then get in and watch England. With the points in the bag for the home side, teams were picked and a brilliant and very even game commenced. The sides were so even, and the game was end to end to the delight of the supporting rabble!
I think the blues won, 9 tries to 8 in the end, but it really didn't matter! There were many moments of genius and some of blunder. Both sides warming up together was a massive highlight, and not something I have ever seen, Darren Gwynn's first senior try was awesome. Every time Zach got the ball the terraces erupted with cries of "Go Stuntman", but my MoM goes to Rodders, who's 5 minutes turned into 80 and every one of them class! (Although I heard he celebrated a little too hard later??). DotD goes to Guy who put his beautiful green top on back to front which caused much hilarity for the rest of us!
Thank you so much to Heathfield who were fantastic company! Jack, you can be my 9 anytime!!
