The key elements of the Under 11s Rules of Play are:
• Team numbers: a maximum of 9-a-side
• Maximum pitch size: 60 metres x 43 metres
• Ball Size: 4
• Maximum minutes each half: 20
• Introduction of the contested strike
• Nearest 3 players in a scrum (all players trained, late specialisation)
• Contest for the ball (2 players v 2 players)
• Introduction of tactical kicking and kicking restarts

Coaching:
It is with immense regret to inform you that Gerry and James Polton will not being joining us this year. James is keen and accomplished athlete and will be concentrating on Triathlons. We will miss Gerry's immense enthusiasm, fun and his coaching ability. We wish them both well and hopefully to see them back at EGRFC in the future.

With that in mind, I would really appreciate some help on the admin side on Sunday’s, largely to keep everyone informed on events, tour, fixtures etc. so I you are willing to help, please let me know.

First Aid:
Very keen to grow our pool of first aiders to provide support @ training @ festivals and on tour. The club will be organising some courses, so if you are able to help that would great.

TOUR:
You may have seen on the EGRFC Facebook page, emails or the WhatsApp Group, that a tour is being planned for 3-5th May next year in Great Yarmouth.

All the junior fundraising this year will be geared to subsidise the cost of the tour. Initial deposits of £35pp will be payable by 30th Sept.

It would be really help to gauge interest quickly, so we can plan on the number of teams and secure the right accommodation , so I have set up the fixture in Pitchero, so if you could indicate your interest by marking your child as available, that would great.

Under 11’s Quiz 12th October:
Following a long tradition, it us our turn to host the quiz, it will be in a familiar format and include food ( e.g. Curry ) - so please join us and encourage your friends and family to join us.

If you can help us with some raffle prizes that would be great as well.

1st September - Family Fun day @ EGRFC - celebrate the start of the new season with a Triple Header vs Crowborough ... Mini Beer Festival, Bouncy Castle, BBQ, Nerf and Water Guns

Riding for the Disabled
Care (local charity who provide volunteer drivers for the elderly)

16th September – Natwest Community Day
Juniors are running a Cake Stall – all donations greatly received.
