East Grinstead Rugby Football Club OBITUARY NOTICE

It is with much sadness to hear of the passing of Eddie Pitt, one of our longest serving and distinguished Honorary VPs who played, supported and held several positions within EGRFC and whom was awarded the Townsend Trophy between 1993-1994.

Eddie passed away on Sunday 23 June, after a long battle with Dementia, he was 88. For the last few years he had been living with his wife, Kay, near Bungay, Norfolk, close to their daughter, Judith.

Our thoughts are with Eddie’s family and loved ones.

The funeral is to take place on Friday 12 July at 10am at Waveney Memorial Park and Crematorium, Warren’s Lane, Benacre Road, Ellough, Suffolk NR34 7XE. The family have asked that bright colours are worn and that it is family flowers only. The wake will be held at the care home, The Moorings, Earsham, Bungay following the service. Any donations gratefully received - Dementia UK.
