The aim is to build at what the children learnt last year and establish a growing base set of skills to enable the children to partake in the spirit of rugby. Our primary aim is to encourage the children to have FUN.
Every year (first few weeks in September), all existing members will need to complete a Membership Form and a new Data Protection Form. New members will also need to complete the RFU Registration Form. These can also be obtained from the club house or from your coach.
The Club will provide training for all the children that turn up, however certain playing kit is required to ensure all are protected. Our primary objective is to keep your children safe in all aspects of the sport. Please ask the coaches for age group specific rules and guidelines.
•A gum shield is advised (as with all contact sports) but not essential until we start contact training.
•Rugby Boots are essential for good footing, especially on soft ground later in the season. Please check with us to ensure your child's studs are RFU compliant.
•Water – parents please ensure your child has their own water bottle at every practice and match
•Snack – small snacks are helpful during short breaks at practices, especially on colder days. However we try to keep the children concentrated and playing as much rugby as possible. Ensure they have a good breakfast before they leave home.
