09: 00 - Pitch Marshall meeting at control tent 12
09:30 – Coaches and Referees meeting at Control tent 12
10:00 prompt – Games commence
FOOD SERVED ALL DAY
12:00 – Bar opens
2.00pm – approx. times all games due to finish
FIRST AID
Please can each team ensure that they have a qualified first aider present with their teams, Crawley RFC will aim to provide medical cover on the day.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Players, Coaches and supporters are asked to abide by the respective codes of conduct.
Please remember that all referees at the festival are volunteers doing their best to enable our children to play rugby safely.
Match Format and Rules for Both Age Groups
The match format is designed for 18 teams in each age group. Each team will play 5 games in their respective groups.
Crawley RFC are implementing the new Age Grade Rugby process and all clubs will be required to follow the new guidelines
No club taking part on the day will be permitted to enter and “A” or “B” teams as per the Age grade rugby changes. Each team must consist of mixed ability children at all times.
With the changes to the game recently under Age Grade Rugby their will be no winners or losers on the day as we are focusing on the player centered development and enjoyment of the children.
RFU Registration
RFU registration cards will not be requested on the day. If a player is not RFU registered they should not be playing in the tournament.
We do require the RFU registration numbers to be filled in on the team sheets.
Timing of Matches
7 minutes each way in with a 1 minute half time break
Game Rules
RFU ‘New Rules’ of play will apply at Under 11s and at Under 12s as mandated by Sussex CB and the RFU Age Grade Rugby.
Other Tournament Rules
No child shall play more than 5 games
