Information and What to Bring

9th, 10th & 11th August 2016

Thanks to all who have already Pre-Registered for this years Summer Camp.
All others interested and yet to take advantage of the pre-pay discounted £60 for 3 days please do so ASAP, knowing what our final numbers might look like helps us design a programme that keeps the Players interested and energised.

Timing

The sessions will formally run from 10am to 4pm.
A Lunch break in-between the morning and afternoon session to suite any Team GB games (see below)
Early drop-off at 9am and later pick-up at 5pm is possible but please do let us know so we can ensure sufficient staff cover.

What to bring

Clothing: dress for the weather, fingers crossed we’ll have some good sunshine so typical shorts and T will suffice. A sun hat or cap a very good idea please and can be worn during most activities for some protection. Wet… shorts and T again but bring a light weight rain top too. Towel and change of clothes may be handy as we we’ll go ahead regardless of weather and a quick dry and change may make the players more comfortable. (changing room will be open and labelled up by age group and gender)

Footwear: Plain old trainers will do the job. No need for Studs or blades unless it has been raining continually for days before hand.

Protective clothing: All games and match play will be non-contact and suitable to every age group. Therefore no requirement for protective clothing or gum shields. However, there may be some light contact drills and technical work done for the U9, U10, U11 age groups assuming wish to do so, Gum shields will be required for this.

Drinks and Lunch: Please come with personal, labelled, Water bottle. A packed lunch too. Although a ‘do-it-yourself’ refreshment area will be available for players to get drink and snack top-ups

Be Organised

On the assumption that we have beautiful sunshine… Please make sure your player(s) have been fully coated in an ‘all-day’ factor 50 before they arrive ☺
Have your player bring some additional sun block with them, they will be reminded to top-up during the day.

Please label all kit if you can… We’ll have a lost property box at the end… Expect it to have quite a few items in it.

Olympic 7’s Matches
The Olympic 7’s are being played over the same period and will be on the screen in the Jnr Clubhouse. The schedule so far show’s Team GB playing lunchtime and early evening on the 9th and 10th so I’m sure that’ll be built into our schedule somehow. The Finals being shown up to 19:00 Rio time on the 11th… the fingers are crossed that a certain Team GB will be there for us to cheer on post BBQ… a fitting end to our camp. Go Team GB !!
(I think Rio are 4hrs behind GMT… we’ll have to do the math)

BBQ
We will close our Camp with a BBQ, some all inclusive games (Family Touch Rugby & Assault course), and, hopefully, watching Team GB take Gold ! Once again, if you are interested please pre-book @ £3 per person via the online registration pages. This will help us understand numbers and cater accordingly.

Many thanks
Neil and the Summer Camp Team
