Key Leadership roles for Senior 1st XV

We want our club to have a distinctive style of rugby that embodies the spirt and values rugby, in this way we will promote EGRFC as a both centre of excellence and a fantastic place anyone to come and enjoy the sport we all love
- Giles Harden, Club Secretary

The new board can confirm that we have appointed some key leadership roles within the 1st XV teams for the 2016/17 season as part of our plan for developing competitive rugby.
In May we invited members and players to put themselves forward for roles within our club and while there are still positions to be filled the key roles of team captains have been identified:
Senior Team Captains
1st XV Captain: Mark Oliver
“I am thrilled to accept the role of 1st team captain next year.

We have a clear plan of what we, as both a senior section and whole club, want to achieve and I believe we are assembling a squad and creating the depth that can reach and surpass these goals.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of EGRFC and I would encourage any players in the local area to get involved”
1st XV Vice-Captain & Backs Coach: Steven Cooke
"It is a huge honour to take on the role as Vice-Captain this coming season. I to thank past captains & coaching staff who set a high standard for rugby at East Grinstead and delivered significant success on the field that we hope to emulate in coming season . This is a massively important season for the club, and I'm hopeful with the right blend of youth & experience we will be able to achieve our objectives"
Further Positions
As we continue to develop the playing, coaching and management infrastructure of the club there will be further appointments to come and a formal structure developed and shared with the membership identifying key posts and contacts at the club.
