Generous Sponsor Takes East Grinstead RFC to the Next Technical Level

East Grinstead RFC would like to say a massive thank you to their sponsor and supporter, Martell’s, who have generously funded a new high tech video camera to record and analyse rugby training and matches, taking player development to the next level.
The Veo camera is a fully automated 180° piece of kit for shooting sports and uses professional level analytics and artificial intelligence software creating engaging full viewing recordings including, follow the ball, follow the player and draw on screen capabilities.
Ryan Morlen, Assistant Head Coach of EG Men said: ‘Many Premiership Clubs use this technology for analysing their game and it was something the late Matt Ratana was passionate about doing. The Veo camera will play an integral part in our training and development and the coaches across every age group of the club will be eager to start using it. We are sure the powerful feedback will create lightbulb moments for players to connect, develop and grow on the pitch. We would like to thank Martell’s for their tremendous backing.’
A camera which automatically detects where the ball is and digitally pans and zooms, gives the appearance of a camera that’s moving with the action, despite the entire match being filmed with a static camera and no manual intervention.
Director of Martell’s, Charlie Martell said: ‘Martell’s were contacted by East Grinstead RFC asking if we would fund a new and exciting piece of equipment for the club. Martell’s have supported this club for many years now and were happy to be able to help once again.'
