The Lions Sports Academy

What a great day for the girls at EGRFC today. The sun was shining, both players and coaches enjoyed a fantastic day of rugby.

We were lucky to be joined by England International player Leanne Riley and Australian International, Chloe Butler from the Lions Sports Academy, who spent the day sharing their experiences gained playing top level rugby.

It was amazing to see so many talented and enthusiastic girls attend the camp. The excellent work of the coaches was clear to see, and the girls made great progress throughout the day.

The camp provided a great opportunity for the participants to both learn and improve their skills and make new friends, in a relaxed and fun environment.

9 year old Mollie Harris-Ward, EGRFC junior member said "I really had fun at the girls rugby camp today. I would love to do it again. I hope we can get a girls team at the club. I hope we have more camps for girls too. It really was a very fun experience. Having  England and Australian women players coach us was amazing and I hope to watch them play".

See you in September girls!
