Bob Marsh held a members meeting Thursday week before last. Here are the notes...

New sponsors secured already to the tune of £10k per annum with growth potential
- Bob 'Buzz' Marsh, Chair EGRFC
  • Club Officials are being updated on the RFU GMS system reflecting the incoming changes of officials at the club.
  • Going forward Team Admin and Team Management representatives from each age group should attend any and all club meetings.
  • Martyn Ansboro is to the administration as Rhodri Lewis is to coaching and will head up all Team managers and Administrators to bring continuity to subscriptions, match reporting, contact with members and such like for the entire club.
  • Matt Ravenscroft is continuing as fixtures secretary for Seniors.
  • The new ladies section will be fronted by Susie Funnell
  • Currently no one to run Rugby Tots - volunteers, please!
  • The youth to continue as ball boys and girls at each home game
  • Potential date for Rugby Sevens weekend - 29/30 ‪April 17.‬
  • Proposed consultation subscriptions have been on the website since late May. Renewals and New Memberships will be taken via the website. Playing membership is only available via 12 month Standing Order through the website. Social & non-player membership will be available as a standing order or lump sum and by exception cheque. If members don’t pay through the website they will still need to register their details there.
  • Potential tenant for the Gym (Osteopath/Physio).
  • H&S for the club has been reviewed, fire extinguishers and monitored closely.
  • New stair lift generously donated and fitted recently.
  • Defibrillator generously donated but needs to be connected to mains supply.
  • Repairs and maintenance underway and nearing completion. Blinds to be added to the clubhouse windows.
  • Showers have been refurbished with new thermostatic controller all preset to 41 degrees for safety, heads have been serviced and floor repair carried out.
  • Chris Mobsby's has generously loaned a tractor and grass cutting machine until we can supply our own.
  • Community Payback teams working onsite and providing much-needed labouring and manpower
  • 4th Pitch and Font Hill to be marked out.
  • Club pledges can now continue to be banked.
  • Outstanding utility bills have all be paid and relationships reestablished with suppliers. VAT payments have been made against assessed bills but January-April and now July returns to be submitted.
  • DBS - ALL coaches should ensure they have contacted Richard Kirk to complete DBS Checks. These are valid for 3 years.
  • Court case took a surprising turn on a point of law and the way our legal team submitted the case, this is being reviewed with the solicitor and barrister at this time to ascertain the exposure to cost we will incur and whether or not there are grounds for appeal. That said we do have a court order for all accounts to be returned to EGRFC.
