* Full Report will follow shortly *
Once more the time is drawing near for the members, who are aspiring golfers, to dust off their clubs, select their best tee's, give their balls a good scrub and a polish and head out to Chartham Park for a splendid day of golf and more...
The tee off is at 10.30 but get their early because there will be Tea and Coffee plus Bacon Rolls on arrival and everyone will get a Sunshine Sevens Goody bag... don't ask! All this for the modest sum of £60, yes just sixty pounds!
You can tell by the photos from 2004 that good fun was had and it looks like Mr Mcgee getting an award...
The competition is 18 holes of Stableford (whatever that means? - you can probably tell the Webmaster doesn't play golf!!) with a team prize, to be announced and a prize for the longest drive nearest the pin.
Players will then return to the club for splendid
dinner. Those fortunate ones whose play exceeded all
expectations will receive their prizes plus some of the
usual banter and attempts to further deprive them of money
for the Sunshine Sevens Charity effort. It will also be an
opportunity for those with some spare cash to attempt to
come away with a prize from the auction and also help even
more the Sunshine Sevens charity fund raising efforts. Of
course some may say this is an opportunity to claim that
an auctioned prize was actually a game prize but don't
forget the results will be on the website over the weekend
so you may only get a few hours of glory if you are
tempted to such lengths!
So far we have some great prizes, and are receiving
donations of others and will update this page as they come
in. We also need more, so please anyone willing to donate a
prize for the auction please contact
Garry Gordon via email, by phone 01342 or mobile 07768 157175
