CROWBOROUGH

Colours: Cherry and White Hoops

Crowborough have been regular participants in the Sunshine Sevens, reaching the 1/4 finals as recently as 2005, with a memorable victory over the touring Mad Cows. The side has often suffered with the inconvenient timing of having the club's men's dinner the night before, which is also the case this year! However, this time round the squad will be on the soft stuff and raring to go on the day...

Today's side is made up of mainly 1st XV players, battle hardened from the rigors of the newly ended season. The side is led by Mike "Mitch" Malherbe, a South African back-rower who is equally at home munching outside-halves or outpacing defences. Another southern hemisphere import to keep an eye on is centre Sean Needs, all the way from Sydney, big on defence and equally adept at breaking midfield tackles.

The real man to watch though, is totally homegrown talent, with flare and panache in spades, Tim Jackson is the general of the side with the ability to completely boss the game.
